Weather in Seychelles: Seychelles weather is pretty much always hot and humid, averaging 83°F (28°C). The sea temperature is similar, rarely falling below 80°F (27°C). Storms are quite rare but tropical rainfall occurs throughout Jan-Feb.
Time: GMT +4.
Electricity: 220-240 volts AC, 50 Hz. Plugs are as you are used to in the UK.
Language: Creole, English and French languages are widely spoken.
Location: The airport is 6 miles from Victoria on Mahé.
Transfers: Taxis/coaches are available to anywhere on the island and buses to Victoria.
Car rental: Hertz, Europcar, Budget and Avis car hire companies can be found at the airport.
Currency: The currency in the Seychelles is the Rupee and cents. All services that are provided by tourism establishments must be paid for with foreign currency notes (Euros predominently) or by credit card. Taxis/ restaurant (not in hotels) can be paid in either currency. Credit cards are widely accepted.
UK nationals: As would be expected, British citizens must have a valid passport for the duration of the stay. You will be provided with a visitors permit on arrival which is valid for just one month.
